Romans study chapter

Romans 6

c. AD 57Dead to sin and alive to God in Christ, believers are freed from sin’s dominion to live in righteousness.

Should we sin so that grace may abound? “By no means!” Believers have died to sin, for they were baptized into Christ’s death and raised to “walk in newness of life.” Since we are united with Christ, we must consider ourselves “dead to sin and alive to God,” and no longer let sin reign in our mortal bodies but present ourselves to God as instruments of righteousness. We have been set free from sin and become slaves of God, and “the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
