Romans 5

“Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Paul celebrates the fruits of justification: access to grace, hope of glory, and even rejoicing in suffering, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts. The measure of that love is that “while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” He then contrasts Adam and Christ: as one man’s trespass brought condemnation and death to all, so the one man Jesus Christ brings justification and life, and “where sin increased, grace abounded all the more.”
