What we're building
An open, growing commentary on the whole Bible: a study for every book with chapter-by-chapter summaries, and the people, tribes, and nations woven through the story. Alongside the books sit topical guides — the prayers of Scripture, the divisions of the canon, a timeline, a genealogy from Adam to Christ, and an honest look at where Judaism and Islam part from Him.
The Law is complete — Genesis through Deuteronomy, chapter by chapter — and the rest of the canon is being written in over time. Every page is drawn from the ESV and aims at one thing: to help a family read the Bible and see Jesus in it.

Where we stand
We read Scripture in the stream of the Protestant Reformation — warm, Reformed, and Christ-centered. Scripture itself is supreme; the teachers we trust are witnesses to it, never a second authority.

The doctrines of grace, preached with a tender, urgent call to sinners.
A note kept honest: Luther is Lutheran, not “Reformed” in the technical sense — he and the Reformed differ on the Lord's Supper and the stress they place on predestination. We cite him for the shared Reformation gospel and do not claim him for more.
What we confess
The five solas — the heart of the Reformation, and the fixed points every page is written around.
Scripture alone. God's inspired Word is the final authority for faith and life.
Faith alone. Sinners are justified through faith, not by works.
Grace alone. Salvation is God's free gift, never earned or deserved.
Christ alone. Fully God and fully man — the only Mediator and Savior.
To the glory of God alone. Creation, redemption, and this study — all of it for Him.
- Christ-centered. All of Scripture testifies to Jesus; we follow the text to Him, not merely to a moral.
- Read in context. The author's meaning first — then Scripture interprets Scripture, and the clear reads the unclear.
- One story of redemption. Promise moving to fulfillment in Christ, through God's covenants.
- Theology for worship. Sound doctrine is meant to produce awe, humility, and godly living.
Grounded like software
Sound doctrine is easy to affirm and easy to drift from. So we hold the writing to a standard the way engineers hold code — a spec, a test, and a review — before anything ships.

Our confession, our way of reading, and a list of red-flag teachings to never make — works-righteousness, the prosperity gospel, universalism, moralism. Everything is written to it.
An automated read check_doctrine.py
A linter scans every finished page for language that drifts. It is negation-aware — it knows “you cannot earn your salvation” is the gospel, not a red flag — and it catches phrasing, never claiming to certify orthodoxy on its own.
A human reading
The final read against a fixed checklist: Is it Christ-centered? Grace, not works? True to the text in context? God-glorifying and honest about sin? This is where soundness is actually judged.
