Matthew 24

As they leave the temple, Jesus foretells its destruction, and on the Mount of Olives answers the disciples’ questions about the end. He describes wars, famines, persecution, and false messiahs, the “abomination of desolation,” and great tribulation, then the glorious coming of the Son of Man. He urges watchfulness with the lesson of the fig tree, warning that no one knows the day or hour, and calling His servants to be faithful and ready.
