Journeying toward Jerusalem, Jesus teaches that marriage is a one-flesh union established by God and not to be broken, and He blesses the little children brought to Him, for “to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” A rich young man goes away sorrowful, unwilling to part with his wealth to follow Jesus, prompting the warning about riches and the promise that many who are first will be last, and the last first.
