The parable of the laborers in the vineyard shows the generosity of God’s grace, which gives the same reward to the last as to the first. Jesus foretells His death a third time, and answers the request for chief seats with a lesson on servant greatness: “Whoever would be great among you must be your servant... even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” He heals two blind men who call Him “Son of David.”
