Matthew study chapter

Matthew 18

c. AD 29Jesus teaches on humility, the care of the “little ones,” church discipline, and boundless forgiveness.

Jesus teaches His disciples about greatness in the kingdom: they must humble themselves like little children, and must not cause “these little ones” to stumble. He tells of the shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to seek the one straying sheep, gives instruction for restoring a sinning brother and for the church’s discipline, and, in the parable of the unforgiving servant, presses the necessity of forgiving from the heart as we have been forgiven.
