Mark study chapter

Mark 9

c. AD 29The transfiguration, the healing of a demon-possessed boy, a second passion prediction, and lessons on greatness.

Six days later, on a high mountain, Jesus is transfigured before Peter, James, and John; Elijah and Moses appear, and the Father’s voice declares, “This is my beloved Son; listen to him.” Coming down, Jesus casts out a spirit the disciples could not, teaching about faith and prayer, and the boy’s father cries, “I believe; help my unbelief!” Jesus foretells His death a second time, and teaches the arguing disciples that “if anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.”
