Jeremiah study chapter

Jeremiah 12

c. 609 BCJeremiah asks why the wicked prosper, and the LORD answers and warns the nations.

Jeremiah brings his complaint to the LORD: “Why does the way of the wicked prosper?” God answers with a bracing challenge — if racing with men on foot has worn him out, how will he compete with horses? — and speaks of forsaking His house and land, yet with a promise of future compassion on the nations who learn His ways.
