Jeremiah study chapter

Jeremiah 11

c. 609 BCThe broken covenant, and a plot against Jeremiah’s life at Anathoth.

The LORD reminds the people of the covenant made with their fathers and the curse for breaking it, which they have earned by their idolatry. When Jeremiah learns of a plot by the men of his own hometown, Anathoth, to kill him “like a gentle lamb led to the slaughter,” God promises to judge them.
