Isaiah study chapter

Isaiah 35

c. 715 BCThe desert blossoms, and the ransomed of the LORD return to Zion with everlasting joy.

In vivid contrast to the desolation, the redeemed way blossoms: the desert rejoices and blooms like the crocus, the eyes of the blind are opened and the lame leap, and streams break out in the wilderness. A “Highway of Holiness” will lead the ransomed of the LORD home to Zion “with singing,” with everlasting joy on their heads, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.
