Isaiah study chapter

Isaiah 30

c. 704 BCWoe to those who trust Egypt; “in returning and rest you shall be saved.”

Woe to the rebellious children who go down to Egypt for help without asking the LORD, trusting in “Egypt whose help is worthless.” The LORD calls them instead to repentance and rest — “in returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength” — and promises that though He gives the bread of adversity, He waits to be gracious, and will bless and heal His people while shattering Assyria.
