Ezekiel 15

592 BCJerusalem is like a useless vine, fit only for the fire.

In a brief allegory, Jerusalem is compared to the wood of a vine, useless for making anything and good only for fuel; and if it was worthless before, how much more when charred by the fire. So God will give the faithless inhabitants to the fire of judgment.
