Acts 17

c. AD 50Paul preaches in Thessalonica and Berea, and to the philosophers at the Areopagus in Athens.

In Thessalonica and Berea Paul reasons from the Scriptures that Jesus is the Christ; the Bereans are commended for examining the Scriptures daily. In Athens, provoked by the city’s idols, Paul preaches at the Areopagus, proclaiming the unknown God as the Creator and Lord of all, who now commands all people to repent because He has fixed a day of judgment by the man He raised from the dead. Some mock, some delay, but some believe.
