2 Corinthians 5

Paul longs for the resurrection body, “a building from God,” and lives by faith, making it his aim to please the Lord, before whom all must appear. Compelled by the love of Christ, who “died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him,” he sees everyone through new eyes: “if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.” God has reconciled us to Himself through Christ and given us “the ministry of reconciliation,” so that we are “ambassadors for Christ,” imploring people to “be reconciled to God” — for “he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
