Paul rebukes believers for taking one another to court before unbelievers, when they should settle disputes within the church and would be better to suffer wrong than to defraud a brother. He warns that the unrighteous — including the sexually immoral, idolaters, thieves, and others — will not inherit the kingdom, “and such were some of you,” but they were washed, sanctified, and justified. Because the body is “for the Lord,” a member of Christ and a temple of the Holy Spirit, they must “flee from sexual immorality” and “glorify God in your body,” for “you were bought with a price.”
