1 Corinthians 10

Paul warns from Israel’s history: though they all passed through the sea and ate spiritual food, God was not pleased with most of them, and their idolatry, immorality, and grumbling are examples written for our instruction. “Let anyone who thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall,” yet God is faithful and “will not let you be tempted beyond your ability,” always providing a way of escape. So, “flee from idolatry,” for one cannot share the Lord’s table and the table of demons. In everything, “whether you eat or drink... do all to the glory of God,” seeking others’ good.
