Song of Solomon 7

c. 960 BCThe beloved delights in the bride, and she gladly gives her love to him.

The beloved again delights in the beauty of his bride in an ardent song of praise, and the bride responds with glad, wholehearted self-giving: “I am my beloved’s, and his desire is for me.” She invites him to go with her into the vineyards and fields, offering her love freely, a picture of the mutual, uninhibited delight of covenant marriage.
