Psalms 41

Closing Book 1, the psalm pronounces blessing on the one who considers the poor, and voices David’s plea amid sickness and the betrayal of a trusted friend “who ate my bread,” a line Jesus applies to Judas. It ends with a doxology: “Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting.”
