A brief but towering messianic psalm that Jesus and the apostles cite more than any other: “The LORD says to my Lord, ’Sit at my right hand.’” It presents a King who rules from Zion amid His enemies and is also “a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek” — fulfilled in the exalted, priestly Christ.
