Proverbs study chapter

Proverbs 8

Wisdom’s excellenceWisdom cries aloud, more precious than gold, present with God at creation.

In contrast to the seductress, Wisdom lifts her voice in the public places, offering truth, righteousness, and counsel that are better than gold. The chapter rises to a magnificent height as Wisdom declares that she was possessed by the LORD “at the beginning of his work,” present “like a master workman” as He founded the earth, His daily delight — words the New Testament sees fulfilled in Christ. “Whoever finds me finds life.”
