The final Solomonic chapter addresses leadership and discipline: “when the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan,” and “where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint.” It commends the discipline of children, warns against flattery and hasty words, and ends, “whoever trusts in the LORD is safe.”
