Proverbs 10

Solomon’s proverbsContrasts of the righteous and the wicked, the diligent and the lazy, the wise and foolish tongue.

The Solomonic proverbs proper begin, mostly two-line contrasts. This chapter sets the righteous against the wicked, the diligent against the lazy, and the wise tongue against the foolish, teaching that “the mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life” while “the way of the LORD is a stronghold to the blameless.”
