Micah study chapter

Micah 3

c. 730 BCThe rulers, prophets, and priests who lead for gain are denounced, and Zion is warned it will be plowed as a field.

Micah launches a blistering attack on the leaders of the nation. The rulers, who ought to know justice, instead “hate the good and love the evil,” tearing the flesh of the people like cannibals. The prophets lead the people astray, crying “Peace” when they are fed but declaring war on those who put nothing in their mouths. The priests teach for hire and the prophets divine for money, yet still lean on the LORD. Because of this corruption, Micah declares, “Zion shall be plowed as a field; Jerusalem shall become a heap of ruins.”
