Mark study chapter

Mark 15

c. AD 30Jesus before Pilate, the crucifixion, His death, the centurion’s confession, and His burial.

Handed over to Pilate, Jesus is questioned, and though Pilate finds no clear guilt, he yields to the crowd, releases Barabbas, and delivers Jesus to be crucified. The soldiers mock Him as “King of the Jews.” He is crucified at Golgotha between two robbers; darkness covers the land; He cries out and breathes His last, and the temple curtain is torn from top to bottom. Seeing how He died, the centurion confesses, “Truly this man was the Son of God!” Joseph of Arimathea lays Him in a tomb.
