In Jericho, Jesus invites Himself to the house of Zacchaeus the tax collector, whose transformed life prompts Jesus’ great word, “The Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” He tells the parable of the ten minas about faithful stewardship until the king returns. Then He enters Jerusalem to shouts of praise, weeps over the city that did not know the time of its visitation, and cleanses the temple, calling it “a house of prayer.”
