Luke 16

Jesus tells the parable of the shrewd manager to teach the wise use of “unrighteous wealth” for eternal ends, warning that “you cannot serve God and money.” He rebukes the money-loving Pharisees and tells of the rich man and Lazarus, in which the roles are reversed after death: the beggar is comforted and the rich man tormented, and even one rising from the dead will not persuade those who reject Moses and the Prophets.
