Luke study chapter

Luke 10

c. AD 29The seventy-two are sent; the parable of the Good Samaritan; and Mary and Martha welcome Jesus.

Jesus appoints seventy-two others and sends them ahead, and they return rejoicing at their authority, while He rejoices in the Spirit that the Father reveals these things to little children. When a lawyer asks who his neighbor is, Jesus tells the parable of the Good Samaritan, showing that mercy makes one a neighbor. At the home of Martha and Mary, He gently teaches that Mary, sitting at His feet to hear His word, “has chosen the good portion.”
