Joshua study chapter

Joshua 10

c. 1405 BCThe LORD fights for Israel against five Amorite kings, hurling hailstones and making the sun stand still at Gibeon.

Five Amorite kings attack Gibeon for making peace with Israel, and Joshua marches all night to its rescue. The LORD throws the enemy into panic, kills more by great hailstones than by the sword, and answers Joshua’s prayer by making the sun stand still until Israel is avenged — a day like no other, “for the LORD fought for Israel.” The southern cities are then taken in a single campaign.
