John study chapter

John 6

c. AD 29Jesus feeds the five thousand, walks on water, and declares, “I am the bread of life.”

Jesus feeds five thousand from five loaves and two fish, and withdraws when they would make Him king by force. That night He walks on the sea to the disciples, saying, “It is I; do not be afraid.” The next day He gives the great Bread of Life discourse: “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger.” He speaks of eating His flesh and drinking His blood — receiving Him by faith — and many disciples turn away, but Peter confesses, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.”
