Job 4

Eliphaz responds first, and gently at first, reminding Job that he has strengthened many sufferers and should now take his own counsel. But he presses the assumption that the innocent do not perish, and relates an eerie night vision in which a voice declared that no mortal can be righteous before God. His words begin to insinuate that Job’s suffering must trace back to sin.
