Elihu presses on to magnify God’s greatness and mercy, arguing that God does not despise the afflicted but uses adversity to instruct, to open the ear of sufferers, and to draw them from distress into a broad place. He warns Job not to turn to iniquity in his affliction and begins to point to the majesty of God displayed in nature, preparing for the storm.
