A new voice enters: Elihu, a younger man who has waited in deference but can no longer stay silent. He is angry at Job for justifying himself rather than God, and at the three friends for condemning Job without answering him. Full of words and zeal, he announces that age is not the only source of wisdom, for βit is the spirit in man... that makes him understand,β and prepares to speak impartially.
