Bildad, offended, delivers a second speech consisting almost entirely of the terrors that await the wicked: their light put out, their steps trapped, their memory perishing from the earth, their dwelling destroyed. It is a vivid and merciless description, aimed like an arrow at Job, offering no comfort, only condemnation.
