Job study chapter

Job 17

patriarchal eraJob, near despair, feels the grave is his only home yet will not let go of hope.

Job’s spirit is broken and the grave seems ready for him; his friends have made him a byword, and he sees no one among them with wisdom. He clings weakly to hope even as he acknowledges that his only home may be the darkness and the worm, laying his complaint honestly before a God who seems silent.
