Job study chapter

Job 12

patriarchal eraJob answers that he too has wisdom, and that God’s sovereign power overturns the mighty.

Job answers with biting irony that his friends are not the only wise ones and that even the beasts know what they claim to teach. He then delivers a magnificent meditation on the sovereign power of God, who holds the life of every creature, who leads counselors away stripped, overthrows the mighty, and pours contempt on princes — a wisdom and power that govern all, for good and for judgment.
