The remnant asks Jeremiah to seek God’s guidance, solemnly vowing to obey whatever He says. After ten days God answers: stay in the land and do not fear Babylon, for He will build them up and show them mercy, but if they go to Egypt, the sword and famine they dread will overtake them there.
