Isaiah declares that it is not God’s arm that is too short to save, but Israel’s sins that have separated them from Him, for their hands are stained with blood and their feet run to evil. When there is no one to intervene, the LORD Himself puts on righteousness and salvation as armor and comes “as a Redeemer... to Zion,” promising His Spirit and His words to His people forever.
