Isaiah study chapter

Isaiah 3

c. 738 BCJudgment on Jerusalem’s corrupt leaders and the proud complacency of its people.

The LORD announces that He will remove Jerusalem’s supports — its leaders, warriors, and counselors — leaving oppression and anarchy in their place. He indicts the elders and princes for crushing the poor and the proud, luxurious women of Zion for their vanity, and warns that finery will give way to shame.
