Isaiah study chapter

Isaiah 24

c. 720 BCThe whole earth laid waste under God’s universal judgment.

Widening from the nations to the whole world, Isaiah foresees the earth utterly laid waste and its inhabitants scattered because they have broken the everlasting covenant, so that joy and song cease. Amid the desolation a remnant sings for the majesty of the LORD, who will punish the powers of heaven and earth and reign in glory on Mount Zion.
