Isaiah study chapter

Isaiah 17

c. 732 BCAn oracle against Damascus and Israel for forgetting the God of their salvation.

An oracle against Damascus, capital of Syria, and against allied Israel, whose glory will fade like a harvested field and dwindle to a few gleanings. The cause is that they “forgot the God of their salvation,” turning to idols; the roaring nations that attack them will themselves be blown away like chaff before the wind.
