Hebrews 5

Every high priest is appointed to offer sacrifices and can deal gently with sinners, and no one takes the honor for himself but is called by God. So Christ did not exalt Himself but was appointed by God, addressed as “a priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek.” In the days of His flesh, He offered up prayers with loud cries and tears, and “although he was a son, he learned obedience through what he suffered,” becoming “the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him.” The author then rebukes his readers for being “dull of hearing,” still needing “milk” when they should be teachers eating “solid food.”
