Jesus is “worthy of more glory than Moses,” for Moses was faithful “as a servant” in God’s house, but Christ is faithful “as a son” over God’s house, and “we are his house if indeed we hold fast.” The author then warns from Psalm 95: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion,” recalling how the wilderness generation, through unbelief, failed to enter God’s rest. Believers must “exhort one another every day,” lest any be “hardened by the deceitfulness of sin,” for “we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end.”
