Galatians 2

Paul recounts how, fourteen years later, he laid his gospel before the leaders in Jerusalem, who added nothing to it and recognized his mission to the Gentiles, refusing to compel Titus, a Greek, to be circumcised. He then tells how he opposed Peter “to his face” at Antioch, because Peter, fearing the circumcision party, had withdrawn from eating with Gentiles, contradicting the gospel. Paul states the heart of the letter: “a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ,” and testifies, “I have been crucified with Christ... the life I now live... I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
