Ephesians 6

Paul instructs children to obey and honor their parents, fathers to raise them “in the discipline and instruction of the Lord,” and servants and masters to serve one another sincerely as to Christ. Finally, he calls believers to “be strong in the Lord” and to “put on the whole armor of God” to stand against the devil’s schemes, “for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against... the spiritual forces of evil.” The armor is truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and “the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,” all sustained by constant prayer. He closes asking prayer for his own bold witness, and sends peace and grace.
