The Queen of Sheba comes to test Solomon and is overwhelmed — “the half of the greatness of your wisdom was not told me” — and she blesses the LORD who set him on the throne to do justice. The Chronicler heaps up the evidence of Solomon’s unrivaled wealth, wisdom, and international fame, then records his forty-year reign and his death, with his son Rehoboam succeeding him.
