Solomon spends thirteen years building his own palace complex, including the House of the Forest of Lebanon and the hall of justice. Then Huram, a skilled bronzeworker from Tyre, casts the temple’s furnishings — the two great pillars Jachin and Boaz, the huge bronze “sea” on twelve oxen, the ten stands and basins, and the golden altar, table, and lampstands — completing the equipment for worship.
