Zechariah study chapter

Zechariah 6

520 BCThe vision of the four chariots patrolling the earth, and the symbolic crowning of Joshua, the Branch who builds the temple and is priest on his throne.

In the eighth and final vision, four chariots with different-colored horses go out to the four winds of heaven as God’s agents patrolling the earth, executing His purposes. The vision cycle closes with a symbolic act: Zechariah is to take silver and gold, make a crown, and set it on the head of Joshua the high priest, declaring, “Behold, the man whose name is the Branch... he shall build the temple of the LORD and shall bear royal honor, and shall sit and rule on his throne. And there shall be a priest on his throne” — uniting the offices of king and priest in the coming Messiah.
