Zechariah 14

The book climaxes with the great day of the LORD. The nations gather against Jerusalem and the city is nearly overwhelmed, but then “the LORD will go out and fight against those nations.” His feet stand on the Mount of Olives, which splits in two to make a way of escape; “living waters shall flow out from Jerusalem” to the eastern and western seas, in summer and winter alike. On that day “the LORD will be king over all the earth. On that day the LORD will be one and his name one.” The nations that survive will go up year after year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and everything — even the bells of the horses and the cooking pots — will be inscribed “Holy to the LORD,” for all creation will be consecrated to Him.
