Revelation study chapter

Revelation 5

c. AD 95The slain but living Lamb alone is worthy to open the sealed scroll, and all heaven worships Him.

In the right hand of God is “a scroll... sealed with seven seals,” and John weeps because no one is found worthy to open it. But an elder says, “Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah... has conquered.” John looks and sees “a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain,” who takes the scroll. All heaven falls down in worship, singing a new song: “Worthy are you to take the scroll... for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.” Myriads of angels and every creature join: “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain.”
